Russian designer Alexey Bykov has presented a conceptual home device that lets users enjoy delicious and hygienic food without wasting any time as well as effort. Dubbed Dish5, the kitchen gadget is intended for students and young professionals living away from their families.
Dish5 integrates the computer and wireless technologies to its design, making it possible for users to learn new unusual recipes. Based on the Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) technology, the Dish5 not only simplifies control process extensively, but also minimize the cooking time and simplifies process of interaction with user.
With the Dish5, users may simultaneously cook diverse dishes, without worrying about different baking time required for various dishes, as it sets separate baking time for each food cell in accordance with the components and the recipe
Moreover, the Dish5 doesn’t require any water and oil for cooking, allowing a healthy meal within no time. The Dish5 was among the top 20 semifinal entries for the student competition Electrolux Design Lab 2008.
